The Chesapeake Chapter of Les Gemmes, Inc. was chartered 1972. Currently the Chapter has 10 active members dedicated to fundraising, serving others, and supporting local programs that serve others.

Girls of Distinction Program
Adopted the youth at the First Baptist Church South Portsmouth, Portsmouth, VA. The members of the Chesapeake Chapter help coordinate the Back-to-School program annually, purchase school supplies, facilitate workshops, and serve food. We also take the students to plays, movies, and pool parties.
Scholarship Program
Our annual scholarship is awarded high school seniors every year.
Community Outreach
• Provided hygiene items to the Bell Assisted Living Facility
• Purchases turkeys and boxes of dressings at Thanksgiving and Christmas for the First Baptist Church South Portsmouth
• Volunteer at the First Baptist Church South Portsmouth’s food distribution center monthly to sort, bag food and deliver patrons
