The Washington, DC Chapter of Les Gemmes, Inc. was chartered in April, 1978.  Currently the Chapter has (21) active members. The Washington, DC Chapter has played a significant role in the local communities during their 32 years of service.

Florence Easley Building a Brighter Future Scholarship Program

The purpose of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of Les Gemmes, Inc. scholarship program is to assist graduating high school seniors who have been accepted into an institution of higher learning (two or four-year college or university, technical school, secretarial school, or other accredited institution) and/or college students who are currently enrolled in an accredited institution (as previously described), to continue their education.  The “Florence Easley Building a Brighter Future Scholarship” is awarded annually.  Students who remain in good standing may re-apply for this scholarship annually, provided they are still enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning.
